Holmes Cay is an independent bottler based in the US. Their first release was Foursquare 2005 in 2019, which was an immediate hit. Many expressions have followed, with mostly great reviews. They certainly have made a lasting impression on me, so I wanted to find out more about the company and the person behind it.
This resulted in many laughs and a ton of interesting rum info. Eric tells us why he started Holmes Cay, what some of the challenges are, how he chooses which rum to bottle, where he sources the rums from and he gives several updates on what will be released soon.....including a certain South African distillery that might be named Mhoba.
